Finance Coordinator – FT
Salary: $51,948 – $60,905 per year (commensurate with experience)

Working collaboratively with the Niagara Regional Police Service, and Family and Children’s Services Niagara, the Centre is a charitable, community supported organization that serves Niagara’s 12 municipalities helping children, youth and families cope with the life altering impact of physical or sexual abuse, neglect, or of being an unwilling witness to violence.
About the Role
The Finance Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the Centre, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and accountability across core financial functions. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this role supports bookkeeping, payroll administration, grant financial tracking, and internal controls.
This full-time permanent position is well suited to an early-career finance professional with 1–3 years of experience who is seeking an opportunity to grow within a mission-driven organization. The role will evolve over time as the Centre continues to expand its programs, staffing, and funding portfolio.
Some of the responsibilities of this position include:
Financial Recording & Reporting
- Maintain the general ledger using QuickBooks Online, including posting journal entries and reconciling accounts.
- Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Prepare internal monthly financial statements and basic variance summaries for review by the Executive Director.
- Maintain organized, audit-ready financial records and supporting documentation.
- Support year-end processes including reconciliations, accruals, and audit working papers
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Process, code, and pay vendor invoices and staff reimbursements in a timely manner.
- Prepare and process deposit.
- Maintain accounts payable and receivable records and reconcile sub-ledgers to the general ledger as required.
Payroll & Staff Financial Administration
- Process bi-weekly payroll in accordance with Centre policies and legislative requirements.
- Track payroll deductions, statutory remittances, and benefits-related financial information.
- Maintain accurate payroll and staff financial records in coordination with fractional HR support.
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries from staff.
Grant & Funder Financial Support
- Track grant budgets, eligible expenses, and reporting timelines across multiple funders.
- Prepare financial summaries and supporting documentation for grant and funder reports.
- Assist with financial information and budget development for funding applications.
- Ensure compliance with funder financial requirements and reporting standards.
Internal Controls & Administration
- Support the implementation and maintenance of internal financial controls and procedures.
- Assist with vendor management, procurement documentation, and contract tracking.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within financial operations.

Qualifications:
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or arelated field.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a finance, bookkeeping, or accounting support role (non-profit experience is an asset).
- Experience using QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software.
- Experience with payroll processing and familiarity with Ontario payroll requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Satisfactory police clearance, including vulnerable sector screening
Other Requirements:
- Criminal Reference Check for the vulnerable sector.
- Valid Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation.
- This is an in-office position based in St. Catharines. Reliable transportation is required.

Child Therapist / Registered Counsellor – PT
Wage: $26 – $36 / Hr.

About the Role
This client-centered, part-time position plays a vital role in delivering trauma-informed therapy and counselling to children and youth who have experienced abuse, neglect, or violence. Working within a collaborative team and supported environment, the Child Therapist / Registered Counsellor will provide direct therapeutic services, helping clients heal and build resilience through individualized support.
This position is ideal for a compassionate, experienced clinician looking to contribute meaningfully to the well-being of children and youth in Niagara in a flexible part-time capacity. The expected hours are approximately 15–20 hours per week, with potential to increase based on client needs and funding.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Client Service (Majority of Time)
- Provide therapy to children and youth using trauma-informed, evidence-based approaches.
- Support caregivers with education and strategies to promote healing and stability at home.
- Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential case documentation.
Collaboration and Coordination
- Participate in intake and case review processes.
- Work closely with other therapists and Centre staff to ensure seamless client service.
- Make referrals and liaise with partner agencies as needed.
Program and Centre Support
- Contribute to quality improvement and client outcome tracking.
- Attend team meetings and share insights that contribute to service excellence.
- Assist with public education or outreach events as appropriate to your role.
Health and Safety
- Work in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and all Centre safety procedures.
- Identify and respond to any safety or wellness concerns for clients or self.
Qualifications
- Education:
- A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or a related discipline (preferred).
- Current registration and good standing with OCSWSSW or another applicable regulatory body.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience providing trauma-informed therapy to children and youth.
- Experience working with families affected by violence, abuse, or neglect.
- Skills:
- Specialized knowledge in child development, play therapy, CBT, and trauma-focused therapeutic models.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential records and utilize electronic case management systems.
