
From March 16 to 20, 2026, Camp Acorn – March Break, focuses on helping children build trust and resilience, make connections, and reach their full potential, all while having fun!
Our trained staff build relationships with every child that walks through the door, understand that every individual has a different experience, and work together to create an environment where children feel safe, heard, and empowered to make choices through a variety of activities and group supports including:
– Outdoor adventure activities such as rock climbing, nature walks and team building exercises
– Creative arts such as music, drama and visual arts, which provide an outlet for self-expression and self-discovery
– Mindfulness and relaxation practices such as yoga and meditation

We are not able to take registrations or hold spots over the phone. Space is limited.
Cost
Camp Acorn – March Break is $44 per day, no minimum number of days required (camp sold daily).
Subsidy is available upon request. Please contact us to apply.
Hours
Regular camp hours are 9:00am to 4:00pm with extended care available. Extended care hours are available for an additional cost.
Extended care is available for $4 per session. AM/morning hours are 8:00 to 9:00pm. PM/evening hours are 4:00 to 5:00pm.

Campers ages 6 to 12 are welcome to register for March Break. All campers must be fully potty trained before attending camp.
If your child has been through an investigation or interview with Family and Children’s Services Niagara or the Niagara Regional Police Service, our programs may come at little to no cost to you and your family. Please contact us to continue registration.

The Kristen French Child Advocacy Centre believes community members should have the ability to take part in Camp Programs despite financial circumstances.
The Camp Acorn Subsidy Program may be able to provide you, and your family, with financial assistance towards camp fees, dependent on your annual family income.Ā
Program Eligibility
To qualify for the subsidy program you must:

- Have a net family income not exceeding 25% above theĀ Low-Income Cut-Offs Chart (L.I.C.O.) threshold (from Stats. Canada).
- Provide recent, official, documentation to support your net family income such as a recent Notice of Assessment from the Canada Revenue Agency.

Program benefits include:

- A 50% discount on the base weekly day camp fee for applicants whose annual household income is below the L.I.C.O. threshold.
- A 35% discount on the base weekly day camp feeĀ for applicants whose annual household income is not greater than 25% above the L.I.C.O. threshold.Ā
Definitions and exclusions:

- A family is a maximum of two adult guardians and their immediate children, under the age of 18, living at the same address.
- Subsidy can be applied towards a maximum of 2 weeks per camper.Ā
- Subsidy applied through the subsidy program cannot be combined with any other discount.Ā
- The applicant must pay the remaining balance of program at the time of registration or enrollment.
- Subsidy does not apply to applicable taxes, lunch plans, or extended care.

Monday, March 16 ā Courageous Campers
Kick off the week with confidence! Today we focus on bravery, teamwork, and trying new things. Campers will explore what makes them unique through creative art projects and playful science challenges designed to celebrate individuality. With icebreakers, outdoor adventures, and hands-on activities, everyone will discover their inner courage and feel ready for a week of camp excitement.
Tuesday, March 17 ā Science Squad
Put on your lab coats and curiosity caps! Today we investigate, experiment, and explore. As the Science Squad, campers will build a sense of belonging as they work together to test predictions, discover surprising reactions, and unlock the mysteries of the world around us through hands-on STEM fun.
Wednesday, March 18 ā Artist Academy
Creativity takes center stage! At Artist Academy, campers will explore a variety of art techniques and mediums.Ā With hands-on projects that encourage imagination and self-expression, every camper gets the chance to experiment, discover new talents, and create their own unique masterpieces.
Thursday, March 19 ā Brilliant Builders
Itās time to design, construct, and create! Campers become Brilliant Builders as they dive into engineering challenges, test designs, and build inventions big and small. Resilience shines as they iterate, adapt, and keep building through trial and error.
Friday, March 20 ā Time Travel Trek
Step into the time machine! Today, campersā journey through history as they explore fascinating eras from long ago. From ancient civilizations and medieval marvels to retro art styles and classic science discoveries, each activity offers a hands-on peek into the past. Campers will create throwback crafts, try old-school challenges, and celebrate how people throughout history shaped the world we know today.
