Every child should be given the opportunity to express themselves and heal in a healthy & creative way
Our 8-week programs are designed for youth who have completed their investigation process with FACS Niagara or the Niagara Regional Police or those who have experienced abuse or trauma and come at no cost to the participant.
At the Kristen French Child Advocacy Centre, we believe all children should be given the opportunity to cope with negative life experiences through various forms of self-expression, purposeful play, and creating new friendship. During Cathy’s Kids, an 8-week trauma informed arts program for children aged 7 to 11, children will learn to express themselves through various art modalities including:
- Painting Projects
- Drawing Activities
- Metal Impression Art
- & Various Crafts
Through our 2-hour sessions, children will engage in creative workshops that work to foster resiliency, self-confidence and a sense of personal purpose and hope for the future.
